What is a Progress File? It is a black folder, kept in your tutor’s classroom; all pupils in Corpus Christi College have one. What is the Progress File for?
Your File can also be used to keep an ongoing record of your achievements and successes whilst you are at the College. You can include items such as; certificates, photographs, newspapers cuttings and pieces of work which you are proud of.
What do I do with my Progress File after I leave school?
The Progress File is a black folder, in which pupils store items such as their C.V., work experience certificates, school certificates, youth club, sport and other awards and achievements both from school and outside school.
Pupils use time in PSE class and Careers throughout their five years at the College to complete various pieces of work. This encourages the pupils to:
Progress File allows young people make the most of themselves and their opportunities. They can use the file to reflect on their achievements and successes and it will help them to complete application forms for further education and jobs. They can also bring relevant parts of it to interviews. Progress File is for learners of all ages. It can be used to help them make progress and achieve more. It also helps the individual to be more in control of their learning, their personal development and to plan for their future. It is about making improvements and seizing opportunities, both personally and academically.
