Overview

This course will provide students with a detailed scientific grounding. It will involve Biology,
Chemistry and Physics units. The units are based around the application of scientific theory. This
should provide a wider base of job opportunities in the future.

The science sector is one of the few areas where employment has been expanding in recent
months and this trend is due to continue both locally and globally.

This is a Two year course and students have 6 hours of teaching time each week

Assessment and Grading

Two thirds of the final grade is from portfolio-based coursework.
One third of the final grade is from externally set exams.
Each unit is worth 16.7% of the final grade
