Overview The BTEC National Award in Engineering is designed to meet the needs of multi-role engineeringtechnicians and equip individuals with the skills, knowledge and understanding required for success in a range of engineering occupations. These include the design, manufacture, installation, operation and maintenance of engineering equipment and systems. The qualification also enables progression to BTEC Higher Nationals or to undergraduate degree qualifications and professional occupations in engineering.
Duration Two year course at 360 guided learning hours – 6 hours per week Awarding Body Edexcel Qualification Value 6 units – equivalent to 1 ‘A’ Level Entry Requirements A GCSE equivalent to at least four passes at Grade C or above ( to include Science and Course Content Students must complete all mandatory units plus optional units Students obtaining a National Award in Engineering can also progress to a Degree, Higher For further information contact Mr Linden, Head of Technology
