Overview

The Level 2 Certificate in Business has been developed to recognise student’s skills knowledge
and understanding of Business functions, environment and operations.

The course accredits student’s abilities to carry out a range of tasks and has been designed to
recognise student’s achievements in a modern, practical way which is relevant to the workplace.

One year at 360 guided learning hours

6 units – equivalent to 4 GCSE passes (A* - C)

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but it is recommended that students hold 2/3
GCSEs at Grade D – E and a recommendation from your Head of Year and Class Tutor.

Students must complete all mandatory units plus Two Optional units.

Assessment and Grading

All units are centre assessed and externally moderated by OCR. There are no timetabled
exams and students complete assignments at a time which is decided by teaching staff.
The full award and units from this qualification are graded as Pass, Merit or Distinction.
