Overview
This course is suitable for those studying in preparation for direct entry into employment at practitioner level in many sectors of the Travel and Tourism industry (in some sectors it may be trainee level).
This qualification is also suitable for those wishing to gain a Level 3 qualification to support further study in Further and Higher Education.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements, however it is recommended that candidates should have a minimum of four GCSEs at Grades A – C and a recommendation from their Head of Year and Class Tutor

Mandatory Units • Unit 1 – The Travel and Tourism Industry • Unit 2 – Travel Locations Worldwide • Unit 3 – Marketing Travel and Tourism • Unit 4 – Customer Service and Selling Skills in Travel and Tourism Optional Units • The Cruise Market • Living and working overseas • UK tourism • UK visitor attractions • Investigating the Airforce industry
Assessment and Grading
All units are centre assessed and externally moderated by OCR. There are no timetabled examinations for this qualification. Students will complete units at a time that is decided by the teaching staff. The full award and units from this qualification are graded as Pass, Merit or Distinction.
