Key Stage 3

History is a very popular and exciting subject in Corpus Christi. Students use visual and active learning to understand Medieval History, Rivalory and Conflict and Anlgo-Irish relationships. The Pupils go on to examine the First World War and its impact on Europe.

Students will use the Northern Ireland Curriculum including the Key Elements - Thinking Skills, Personal Capabilities and Assessment for Learning.

Key Stage 4

KS4 History has been designed to stimulate the interest and enthusiasm of the students. The Course has three Units, Unit 1 examines Germany 1918 - 1941 and Peace, War and Neutrality 1932 - 1949. Unit 2 involves the Cold War 1945 - 1991. The coursework element is a controlled experiment worth 25%.

Post 16

History is also offered at AS/A Level. Results have always been successful in Corpus Christi and students have progressed to successful Careers in Teaching, Law, Civil Service and Hospitality Management.
