Corpus Christi College, Belfast - The Curriculum

Modern Language pupils are encouraged to learn about the culture of the country whose language they are sutdying.. They are encouraged to talk about themselves and their families in the target language. Trips to Spain and Gaeltacht are very popular with all our Key Stage 3 pupils. Pupils can achieve up to a Grade 3 in G.O.M.L

Key Stage 4

Irish and Spainish are offered to GCSE level. Pupils are tested in listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Pupils can be entered for either Foundation Level to achiev at most a Grade C or Higher Tier for up to a Grade A*

Irish Unit

The Modern Languages Department hopes to open it Irish Unit for our Bunscoil Pupils. These pupils will be encouraged to sit GCSE Irish at the end of Year 10.
