Religious Education plays a central role in the day-to-day life of Corpus Christi. The school curriculum would not be balanced and appropriate without an understanding of Christianity and the contribution it makes to the development of our lives and culture, and how it compares and relates to other world religions. Given the prevailing attitude towards religion with the youth of our communities, it is essential that the experiences of Religious Education for our students be as positive, meaning and relevant as possible. The overall aim of teaching Religious Education in Corpus Christi College is to help pupils to know about, understand and be able to evaluate religious insights, experiences, beliefs, practices and concepts. This enables the students to formulate personal responses to their beliefs and to respect the rights of others to hold beliefs different from their own.
